ACTIVE RELEASE TECHNIQUE (ART)

A myofascial release technique performed to break up adhesions, decrease tightness and improve flexibility of the soft tissues. Used for tendinitis, spasms, scar tissue, nerve compressions and more.

 

CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENT

Use of direct pressure at a joint to restore function and increase range of motion. At times a “pop” may be heard which is gas being released from in between the joint.

 

WEBSTER TECHNIQUE

PREGNANCY + POSTPARTUM

Use of specific adjustments of the pelvis and surrounding ligaments to relieve tension as the body changes during pregnancy. Treatment increases space within the pelvis for the baby to grow and move into optimal labor position. During postpartum, Chiropractic can help relieve tightness and restore joint mobility as the body returns to its original position. Strengthening exercises may also be given that are postpartum specific.

 

FLEXION/ DISTRACTION/ Traction

Using a certain table that causes traction to relieve pressure on the spine and discs. Great for disc bulge, herniations and compressed joints in the spine.

CUPPING THERAPY

Specific cups applied on the skin to create suction. Cupping can help with muscle recovery, increase blood circulation, clear any congestion, support the lymphatic system, break up adhesions and reduce pain.

INSTRUMENT ASSISTED SOFT TISSUE MOBILIZATION (IASTM)

A type of massage/scraping that uses tools to break up adhesions and scar tissue in the muscles, ligaments, tendons, or fascia. In return, certain fibers can be activated to promote proper healing.
